KOHL Studios: Foundational Makeup Class
We’re thrilled to be working with Ashlea Dyson from Kohl Studios to present a foundational makeup class on June 30th at the studio.
This class is designed for those who want to learn the basics behind a fresh, minimal and glowy look that can be applied every day with a focus on quality over quantity and hardworking, low-tox product.
Over two hours in our sun-soaked studio, Ashlea will demonstrate her techniques on a model, with participants then guided through self-application with a breakdown of each technique. An intimate class size of ten allows for an individualised and in depth experience.
You’re invited to bring along your own products from home to incorporate into the class. Ashlea will also have samples available to use on the day, with the opportunity to purchase and fill any “gaps” in your own kit. You’ll end the class equipped with the knowledge, confidence & skills for applying elevated everyday makeup that enhances your own natural beauty.
This class also includes refreshments and a glass of our favourite Oakdene sparkling.
Topics include:
Colour matching
Complexion and foundation finishes
Simple eyeshadow for both day and night wear
Lipstick shades
Mature skin tips and tricks
What to bring:
A fresh, clean face and your own makeup kit from home, including brushes (you’ll be able to supplement any gaps with sample product on the day).
Class details:
Date: Sunday 30th June
Time: 2pm-4pm
Includes: 2 hour workshop, all materials, tea, coffee, sparkling wine and light snacks.
To bring: a clean (makeup free) face and your makeup bag including brushes if you have them.
Workshop bookings are non-refundable. We also need a certain amount of participants in order for this class to go ahead. In the event we don’t reach this number we may look to reschedule, in which case you will be offered the option of the new date, or a full refund. Full T’s and C’s.

KOHL Studios is led by Ashlea Dyson. Ashlea was self-taught throughout her younger years, and has been offering makeup professionally since 2013. Kohl Studios became her full-time business in 2018 and encompasses her passion for minimalistic makeup and her strong belief that makeup should always feel optional. Although there is excitement around the artistic side of makeup, Ashlea is most proud to share her foundational makeup skills, helping others create a look that enhances their natural beauty, without all the fuss.
