Pop by the studio on Saturday June 15th for an express session with talented local photographer Stephanie Rooney to capture some professional and high-quality snaps with your nearest and dearest. Sessions are 15 minutes, based out of our Newtown studio. Our set includes a simple backdrop to ensure your images remain timeless. Post shoot you’ll be delivered up to 15 images both in colour and black and white to cherish forever!
We’ve tweaked these sessions after feedback from our Mother’s Day portraits, allowing for multiple configurations (eg different groupings of people within your booked time — parents and kids, kids only etc). Scroll down for more FAQs.

When is this happening?
Saturday 15th June, sessions commence from 9am.
How much does it cost?
$250 per session.
Who is the photographer?
Stephanie Rooney is a lifestyle photographer who’s work has been featured across The Design Files, Interiors Addict, Real Living Magazine, Home Beautiful Magazine, Inside out Magazine, Adore Magazine, Domain and more.
Steph’s passion for creative collaboration and her friendly nature ensures her photographic process is fun and enjoyable for all. Fun fact, Steph has also worked as a festive portrait photographer in a big shopping centre, so you’re in very safe hands!
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 15 minutes each. Please arrive 5 minutes before your allotted time to ensure you’re ready to go.
What do I get from my session?
About one week post your session you will be emailed approximately 15 professionally edited, high resolution images in colour and black & white, to use as you wish.
How and when will my photos be delivered?
Photos will be delivered approximately one week post shoot, via an email download link which will be available for 30 days. Please ensure to download and store your photos safely!
Where are the photos taken?
Our set is located at THE KO Creative Studio. 1/14 Lambert Avenue, Newtown. We have plenty of car parking on site, adjacent to the studio. We are located right next to Upstate Newtown.
What is the backdrop?
We’re keeping things simple with a timeless and classic backdrop of linen. We’re aiming for a relaxed and candid vibe.
Where do I park?
We have plenty of parking adjacent to the building, come up the driveway (we are located next to/behind Upstate Newtown).
What do I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in is always best. We also recommend light colours (avoid all black) without any distracting patterns, images or slogans.
What time should I arrive for my session?
Please arrive 5 minutes before your allocated time to ensure you are ready to commence the shoot on time.
I can’t make it to my session, what do I do?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds on booked sessions. Please consider offering your session to a friend or family member. If sessions sell out we will create a waitlist and can try to offer your session to someone else, time dependent.
I’m running late to my session, what do I do?
Please email us info@theko.com.au or call us 0400 854 426 and we will do our best to juggle things around if we can, although we cannot make any guarantees.
How old do I have to be to have my photo taken?
All ages are welcome! Babies will need to be held if they are unable to sit.
Is there a maximum number of people for a session?
We’d suggest no more than six people per group.
