We’ve partnered up with vibrant homewares brand Bonnie and Neil to offer something a little different for your family Christmas photos this year!

Join us on November 10th and 11th for festive express portrait sessions, all are welcome — friends, coworkers, babies, pets, one and all! Create a gorgeous keepsake with your nearest and dearest.

Our custom set includes colour, sparkle, fun, festivity, happiness and joy inspired by the beautiful Bonnie and Neil aesthetic. Our festive wonderland incorporates their textiles, colours and designs — think green, gold, pattern, presents, glitter and more!

Who are Bonnie and Neil?

Bonnie and Neil is an independent textile brand created by Bonnie Ashley and Neil Downie.

With an extensive range of sought-after collectables for every room in the home, Bonnie and Neil are known for their vibrant collections that celebrate colour and pattern.

Bonnie and Neil original designs feature Bonnie’s painting and hand drawings across beautiful, timeless homewares which make them one of Australia’s most popular independent lifestyle brands.

As part of this event we will have a Bonnie and Neil pop-up shop on site, so you can browse their beautiful products on the day!

 
Who is the photographer?

Stephanie Rooney is a lifestyle photographer who’s work has been featured across The Design Files, Interiors Addict, Real Living Magazine, Home Beautiful Magazine, Inside out Magazine, Adore Magazine, Domain and more.

Steph’s passion for creative collaboration and her friendly nature ensures her photographic process is fun and enjoyable for all.

Fun fact, Steph has also worked as a festive portrait photographer in a big shopping centre, so you’re in very safe hands!

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 10 minutes each. Please arrive 5 minutes before your allotted time to ensure you’re ready to go, or a little earlier if you would like to browse our Bonnie and Neil pop-up shop!

What do I get from my session?

Post your session in our festive wonderland you will be emailed 5-7 professionally edited, high resolution images for you to use as you wish.

How and when will my photos be delivered?

Photos will be delivered approximately one week post shoot, via email.

Where are the photos taken?

Our set is located at THE KO Creative Studio. 1/14 Lambert Avenue, Newtown.

What is the backdrop?

Our backdrop is a custom designed, creative and colourful wonderland, styled by THE KO co-founder and stylist, Karina van de Pol. Think fun, colourful, textural, festive and fabulous! We’ve designed this set with the idea of offering something a little different that is still fun and festive. Please note there is no Santa for these sessions but we will have a Christmas tree, decorations and presents.

Where do I park?

We have plenty of parking adjacent to the building, come up the driveway (we are located next to/behind Upstate Newtown).

What do I wear?

Whatever you feel fabulous and comfortable in.

What time should I arrive for my session?

Please arrive 5 minutes before your allocated time to ensure you are ready to commence the shoot on time, allow a little extra time if you would like to browse the Bonnie and Neil pop-up shop before your session.

I can’t make it to my session, what do I do?

Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds on booked sessions. Please consider offering your session to a friend or family member. If sessions sell out we will create a waitlist and can try to offer your session to someone else, time dependent.

I’m running late to my session, what do I do?

Please email us info@theko.com.au or call us 0400 854 426 and we will do our best to juggle things around if we can, although we cannot make any guarantees.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, pets are welcome. Please ensure dogs are on leads and any pets remain within arms reach at all times or inside an appropriate pet carrier while not on set.

How old do I have to be to have my photo taken?

All ages are welcome! Our set will include a bench to sit on, babies will need to be held by a parent or guardian.

Is there a maximum number of people for a session?

We’d suggest no more than six people per group.
