MAKE A VASE WITH CLAE STUDIO
This week’s workshop is brought to you by the lovely Britt Neech of Clae Studio. Britt is a Melbourne based ceramic artist who has hosted several classes with us since we opened, they are always so much fun and we hope to have her back later in the year for a few more.
Britt has kindly created a short video on techniques that you can use to create a vase at home. The basic building blocks she provides can be the foundation for a cup, jug, bowl, vase - anything! Get creative and share your creations with us on social or send us an email.
If you don’t have access to a kiln (highly likely in these times of isolation!) then we recommend looking into purchasing some air-drying clay, here’s a link to one here and another here. Basic tools can also be purchased online here, otherwise you can just use bits and pieces from your kitchen!
There are also some recipes out there to home-make clay with flour and a few other ingredients, if you give this a crack be sure to let us know how you go!
We hope you enjoy the class, as always we love your feedback! Have a happy Easter weekend, and stay safe.
